Route 66 was never really built for the careful — it was built for the ones who showed up anyway.
The misfits found this road before the tour buses did. They drove it because it was long and honest and didn't pretend to be anything other than what it was — miles and miles of truth between the towns. The Boss 429 was their kind of car: too much power for the speed limits, too much presence to ignore, built for the people who wanted to move and couldn't tell you why they needed to. That energy never left the Mother Road. It's still there, in the straightaways and the ghost towns and the motels that kept the signs lit just in case someone like you came through.
The misfit always had a road. This was always it.
